Types of assessments

Teachers can choose from hundreds of F-10 literacy and numeracy assessments.

Quizdom has several different types of assessments to choose from.

The range of assessment types helps teachers create an effective assessment plan; one that takes students strengths and
weaknesses into account and provides for the next smallest step in their development.

Diagnostic Tests

Diagnostic tests help teachers discover what students know – and don’t know.

Using this information, teachers can prepare learning programs with the right level of challenge - and the right level of challenge gives students the greatest chance of success.

Quizdom’s diagnostic assessments include Entrance Tests for new students, and Placement Tests to group students into like abilities.

Assessments FOR Learning
Assessments FOR Learning

Assessments FOR Learning focus on specific literacy and numeracy topics like ‘Apostrophes’ and ‘3D Objects’.

Students learn as they go, getting immediate feedback and clear worked solutions in each question.

If a student needs more or less of a challenge in a topic, teachers simply select an assessment from a different level and change the title.

NAPLAN and Minimum Standards

In 2019, all students across Australia will be expected to complete NAPLAN tests online.

Quizdom’s NAPLAN Preparation Tests are styled on the ACARA NAPLAN tests.

They help familiarise students with the types of questions
asked in NAPLAN and build students’ confidence in the online
testing process.

Summative Tests

Quizdom features dedicated summative tests such as Semester Tests for each year level.

These Assessments OF Learning can be used at the end of a learning program to measure student progress.

However, every type of assessment in Quizdom can be turned into a summative test simply by switching off the student feedback.
